Onboarding

A short video and a slide deck for each role on the platform. Watch the narrated video to get oriented, then download the deck if you want a reference you can share or present.

Role

Unit Convenor

You own the unit.

Your landing page is a calendar of every assignment across all your units. Create units, upload task sheets (PDF, image, Word — up to 20 MB) with a due date, assign supervisors to the units they deliver, and edit classes, dates and briefs anytime from the Assignments overview.

Role

Supervisor

You teach the classes.

Your calendar shows every assignment for the units your convenor assigned to you. Open task sheets, browse the list of tasks, and view blank record templates to prepare your teaching. Student-filled records stay private to the convenor.

Role

Student

Focus on the work.

Your calendar highlights overdue work in red, work due today in green, and everything coming up in the next 7 days. Open the next assignment, create a record for the right setting, fill in the tabs, attach files, and submit for supervisor feedback.

Role

System Administrator

You look after the accounts.

You create unit convenors, and you can also do everything a convenor does — add supervisors, assign them to units, create class lists (which creates the students) and upload task sheets. You're the only person who can activate or deactivate an account; deactivating asks for a typed confirmation, and a deactivated account immediately disappears from every unit, class and assignment picker until it's turned back on.

There's no separate video for this role — the Unit Convenor walkthrough above covers the shared screens.
